Supporting Texas songmakers is central to our mission, and that includes creating reasons for them to come together and, well, make songs. That’s what songSLAM is all about.

Teams of two or three - one singer, one pianist, and one composer who may or may not also be a performer - show up at the slam to throw down with a brand-new, world premiere song. Great so far, right? Even better: the audience picks the evening’s three winners who go home with some cash. It’s a new music concert, it’s a songfest, it’s a social event with voting and snacks - it’s the songSLAM and you don’t want to miss it!
