TEAM THREE is based at Baylor for the moment, but these musicians are making their first strides into national and international arenas.

Composer Alexandra LaVake comes to Waco from Rapid City, South Dakota. As a singer, she is preparing for upcoming Baylor Opera Theater performances, but she’s also a budding stage director. She recently presented her debut directed scene, from William Grant Still’s “A Bayou Legend,” at the 70th National Opera Association Convention in Savannah, GA - one of only four scenes to make the finals of this competition.

Mezzo-soprano Olivia Currier, from Albuquerque, New Mexico, is also preparing her Baylor Opera Theater debuts, notably as the Witch in Hänsel und Gretel. She recently competed in the National Laffont Competition of the Metropolitan Opera National Council, and made her debut at Lincoln Center in 2024.

Pianist Luke Biamonte is from Frisco, Texas. In 2023, Luke was chosen for participation in the prestigious Oxana Yablonskaya Piano Institute in Eilat, Israel.
