It takes two - Team Two, that is: two powerhouse women, growing their multifaceted artistic practices.
Rebekah Lambert is a conductor, composer, and pianist from Waco, Texas, currently earning her Master’s Degree in Orchestral Conducting at Baylor University under the direction of Miguel Harth-Bedoya and taking composition lessons from Scott McAllister. She previously earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance and a Master’s Degree in Collaborative Piano. She has additionally served as an assistant conductor with the Lima Symphony Orchestra, the Waco Symphony Orchestra, the Omaha Youth Symphony, and the Omaha Symphony. As a composer, Rebekah composed mainly for piano and voice, but has had works premiered by the North Texas Youth Orchestra, students from Baylor University, and the Baylor University New Music Ensemble.
Known for her rich tone and emotive performances, Kate Bishop, mezzo-soprano, is increasingly recognized for the brilliance of her instrument and thoughtful artistic interpretation of classical music. Bishop graduated from Baylor University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Music degree, and has since returned to her alma mater to earn a Master of Music degree. Most recently, Bishop sang the role of Prince Charmant (Cendrillon) with UVAA, Lady Angela (Patience) with the Baylor Opera Theatre, and has previously sung as Hansel (Hansel and Gretel) in Croatia with Opera Pannonica and La Sorella Infermiera (Suor Angelica) with Music On Site, Inc.. Bishop looks forward to performing the role of Luisa Fernanda (Luisa Fernanda) this coming February with Baylor Opera Theatre, and Fricka (Das Rheingold) in May with LAH-SOW.
